Fun at Guild Meeting from From My Carolina Home

Sometimes in addition to our regular business meeting and program, we have a presentation from one of our charity partners. This past meeting we had a display and talk about our work with the local woodworkers. They make the most wonderful toys and our guild helps with making what we call ‘cradle quilts’ although they go in more than just cradles. I’m not sure who makes the bears.

They also do wagons entirely made of wood.

Rocking chairs just big enough for a small child, and an all wood stroller also have quilts and bears.

2022 Sun Bonnet Sue Raffle Quilt from Crazy Horse Quilting

 Wow...or should I say "whew"! This quilt was a challenge for me, and I loved every minute of it. Well, maybe not the minutes when I was panicking about what to put in the border, but otherwise, it was super fun! This is my second Lori Holt quilt and I have to say, I love her patterns! I especially love when they're not made with 30s fabrics...but that's just me!

Quincy Crazy Quilters' Raffle Quilt from Crazy Horse Quilting

I feel so fortunate that the Quincy Crazy Quilters continue to trust me with their raffle quilts. This is the one for 2019 that will be won in September 2020. Hopefully, things will be more normal by then and they'll be able to draw the winning ticket at a meeting. *Fingers crossed*

This year's quilt is a wild one! Look at all those bright colors.  They seem to do fun, bright, and wild one year and then traditional the next (I've already gotten a sneap peak at the 2020 quilt).
